Before you start

  • Install the Screendesk browser extension. See Browser support.

  • Connect your Freshdesk integration in Screendesk.

Request a recording from a Freshdesk ticket

Use Copy & Attach to Ticket to keep recordings tied to the right ticket.

Open the ticket

Open the Freshdesk ticket you’re replying to.

Open Screendesk

Click the Screendesk icon in your browser toolbar.

Open the dropdown next to Copy Link.

Select Copy & Attach to Ticket.

Send it to the requester

Paste the link into your Freshdesk reply.

Tell the user what you need them to record.

After the user records

  1. The user opens your link and records their screen.

  2. The recording uploads to Screendesk.

  3. You get an email notification with a link to view it.

  4. The recording attaches to the Freshdesk ticket.

Notes

Freshdesk auto-attach can rely on the ticket plus customer identity on the page.
