# Transfer workspace ownership

Transfer ownership when the current Owner is leaving the team.

### Before you start

* Only the **Owner** can transfer ownership.
* The new Owner must already be an **Admin**.

### Open General settings

Go to General Settings in **Account settings**.

### Transfer ownership

Under **Transfer ownership**, pick the Admin you want to make Owner.

### Save

Confirm the change to complete the transfer.
