Customize live screensharing rooms with your logo and brand colors.

Customize your live video call rooms to match your brand identity. Add your company logo and choose custom background colors to create a professional, branded experience for customers joining your video calls.

Plan availability: Live room customization is available on Pro and Enterprise plans. Trial accounts also have access during the trial period.

Customization options apply to all live video rooms created by your workspace. Only workspace administrators can configure these settings.

Available customization options

You can customize two main visual elements of your live video rooms:

Upload your company logo to appear at the top of the video room interface. This helps customers immediately recognize they're in your branded support environment.

Logo specifications:

  • Maximum dimensions: 800 × 500 pixels

  • Supported formats: PNG, JPEG

  • Maximum file size: 5 MB

  • Recommended dimensions: 200 × 100 pixels (for best display quality)

  • Background: Transparent PNG recommended for best results

2. Background color

Choose a custom background color for the video room. This color appears behind participant video tiles and in empty areas of the interface.

Color specifications:

  • Format: Hex color code (e.g., #404040)

  • Default color: #404040 (dark gray)

  • Recommended: Choose a color that contrasts well with white text and video tiles

Customizing your live rooms

Only workspace administrators can configure live room customization.

Go to Account Settings → Live Screensharing. You must have the Admin role to access this page.

Find the Live Screensharing Logo section.

  1. Click Choose File to select your logo from your computer

  2. A preview of your logo appears immediately after selection

  3. Click Save to upload and apply the logo

  4. The logo will now appear in all new live video rooms

To remove a logo:

  • Click Remove Logo to restore the default Screendesk logo

  • Click Save to confirm the change

Choose your background color

Find the Live Screensharing Background section.

  1. Click the color picker field to open the color selector

  2. Choose a color using the visual picker, or enter a hex color code directly

  3. A live preview shows how your color will look in the video room interface

  4. Click Save to apply the color

  5. The background color will now appear in all new live video rooms

To restore the default color:

  • Click Restore to default to reset to the default dark gray (#404040)

  • Click Save to confirm the change

Visual preview

As you make changes to your logo and background color, a miniature preview of the video room interface appears on the right side of the settings page. This preview updates in real time as you select colors, allowing you to see exactly how your customizations will look before saving.

The preview shows:

  • Your logo placement at the top of the room

  • The background color behind participant video tiles

  • The overall room layout and controls

Where customizations appear

Your logo and background color appear in the following locations:

In the video room

  • Logo: Displayed at the top-left of the video room interface (visible to all participants)

  • Background color: Fills the space behind video tiles and in empty areas of the video grid

Not affected by customization

  • Video controls — Camera, microphone, and screen sharing buttons remain standard

  • Participant video tiles — Participant webcam feeds and screen shares are not affected

  • Recording indicator — Recording status indicators remain in their standard red color

Testing your customizations

After saving your customization changes, test them to ensure they look correct:

Create a test video room

From the Screendesk sidebar in your helpdesk tool, click Live Screen Sharing to create a new video room.

Join as host

Click the host link to join the video room. Check that:

  • Your logo appears correctly at the top of the interface

  • The background color displays as expected

  • The logo is legible and properly sized

Test the guest experience

Open the guest link in a private/incognito browser window to see what customers will see. Verify that:

  • The logo is visible to guests

  • The background color appears the same as in the host view

  • The overall appearance is professional and on-brand
