Before you start

  • Install the Screendesk browser extension. See Browser support.

  • Connect your Zendesk integration in Screendesk.

Request a recording from a Zendesk ticket

Use Copy & Attach to Ticket to keep recordings tied to the right ticket.

Open the Zendesk ticket

Open the ticket you’re replying to.

Open Screendesk

Click the Screendesk icon in your browser toolbar.

Open the dropdown next to Copy Link.

Select Copy & Attach to Ticket.

Send it to the requester

Paste the link into your Zendesk reply.

Tell the user what you need them to record.

After the user records

  1. The user opens your link and records their screen.

  2. The recording uploads to Screendesk.

  3. You get an email notification with a link to view it.

  4. The recording attaches to the Zendesk ticket automatically.

If you don’t see “Copy & Attach to Ticket”

Use a general Copy Link instead.

This can happen when:

  • You’re on a Zendesk list view, not a ticket page.

  • The page hasn’t finished loading.

  • Zendesk isn’t connected in Screendesk.
