Auto deletion removes recordings automatically after a set number of days. Configure different retention periods for received, sent, and live recordings.

How auto deletion works

Screendesk runs a cleanup job once per day. It runs at midnight UTC.

A recording is deleted when its age exceeds your retention period. Age is based on the recording creation date.

Set up auto deletion

Open Security settings

Navigate to Account Settings → Security.

Enable the setting

Switch on Enable automatic data deletion.

Set retention periods

Enter the number of days for each recording type:

  • Received: recordings submitted by customers.

  • Sent: recordings your team creates and shares.

  • Live: video call recordings and replays.

Leave a field empty to keep that type forever.

Save

Click Save. Deletion starts with the next daily run.
